Gilbert Ghostine (pictured) has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Firmenich. He will succeed Patrick Firmenich, effective October 1, 2014. Ghostine most recently served as president, Asia Pacific at Diageo, the world’s leading premium drinks company. He was at the company for 20 years.

Firmenich announced his desire to hand over his current position while taking on increased responsibilities at the Board level. To ensure a smooth transition, he will assist Ghostine through to the end of January 2015, while taking on his new role as vice chairman of the board.
